BNS Sec 80 Dowry Death

Where death of a woman is caused by burns, bodily injury or occurs within 7 years of marriage and she was subjected to cruelty or harassment for dowry. Minimum 7 years imprisonment, extendable to life.

BNS Sec 85 Cruelty by Husband or Relatives

Wilful conduct likely to drive a woman to suicide or cause grave injury; harassment for dowry or property. Imprisonment up to 3 years and fine.

Dowry Prohibition Act 1961

Prohibits giving or taking dowry. Penalty: minimum 5 years imprisonment and fine of Rs 15,000 or the value of the dowry, whichever is higher.

PWDVA 2005 Protection of Women from DV Act
