Best Time to Post
Pick your platform, niche and audience region to get a ready-made weekly posting schedule.
How to use your schedule
- These are algorithm-informed defaults - always confirm against your own Insights > Audience data after 4-6 weeks
- Consistency beats perfect timing: posting reliably 4-5x a week beats guessing the "perfect" slot once
- Time zone shown is your audience's local time, not yours
Example
An Indian fashion & beauty account posting for a domestic audience gets a recommended slot of 7:00-8:30 PM IST on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday - after work hours when scroll time peaks, and mid-week/weekend when purchase intent is highest.
Why timing still matters
Modern feed algorithms weigh the first 30-60 minutes of engagement heavily when deciding how far to push a post. Publishing when your specific audience is awake, off work and actively scrolling gives every post a stronger opening burst - which is what triggers wider distribution.
How to use this tool
- Select your platform - each has different peak-usage windows
- Pick the niche closest to your content
- Choose where most of your audience actually lives (check Insights > Audience if unsure)
- Get a ready weekly schedule with day, time window and reasoning
Use cases
- Content calendar planning: lock in your week's posting slots in one go instead of guessing daily.
- Boosting a growth campaign: pair a scheduled post with a follower or views boost so the extra engagement lands during peak visibility.
- New accounts: starting fresh with no Insights data yet? Use these defaults until you have 4-6 weeks of your own numbers.
- Multi-platform creators: get a different schedule per platform instead of cross-posting at the same time everywhere.
Frequently asked questions
Does the "best time" really change engagement that much?
It is a smaller factor than content quality and hook strength, but it is a free lever - posting into an awake, active audience gives every post a better starting chance with no extra effort.
My audience is global. What should I do?
Select "Global / Mixed" for a balanced default, then check your Insights > Audience tab to see your top 2-3 countries and lean the schedule toward wherever most of your followers are.
Should Reels and static posts go out at the same time?
Reels tend to do well slightly earlier in the day when the algorithm is actively pushing fresh video, while carousels and static posts often perform better in the evening scroll window. Test both against this schedule.
