Where comments sit on YouTube

A YouTube video with an empty comment section can feel quiet, even when people are watching. Paste one public video link and claim 10 free comments to see how the service works. No Google login, no password, ₹0.

On a long video, comments appear below the description, with the total count next to the word Comments. On a phone, viewers see a short comment preview under the video and tap to open the full list. On Shorts, comments open from the speech bubble on the right side.

Comments are per video, so this page needs the video link, from the Share button or the address bar. Check that comments are turned on in YouTube Studio for that video, and that it is not set as made for kids, because comments are switched off on those.

Comments also appear in YouTube Studio under Comments, where you can reply, heart or hide them. That is the best place to check delivery, because the public comment count can take a while to refresh.

Free comment offers on this page

Every offer here gives 10 comments. You can pick from an India offer, a Refill offer, a plain offer, and offers aimed at Bangladesh, Romania, Germany, France and China. Language and style of comments can follow the country, so choose the one that fits your audience. Each offer can be claimed once per person.

  • Make sure the video is Public, not Unlisted or Private.
  • Turn comments on, and set moderation so comments are not all held for review.
  • Paste the video link in the box and choose an offer.
  • Wait for the one minute countdown before your next claim.

After you claim

The order is sent at once and normally starts within minutes. If your channel holds comments for review, they wait in YouTube Studio under Comments, Held for review, until you approve them. Check there if the count does not move.

YouTube also filters comments it thinks are spam, and that can remove some comments from any video. The Refill offer tops up drops within its refill period. Other offers are not topped up.

Getting viewers to comment on their own

Most people comment when you ask them something specific. Instead of a general please comment, ask one clear question in the video and repeat it in the description. Pin a comment of your own that starts the discussion, and reply to early comments quickly, since a reply from the creator invites more people to join in.

Heart comments you like, use Community posts to continue a topic, and mention good viewer comments in your next video. For Shorts, a question as on screen text near the end works better than a spoken call to action.

When paid comments make sense

If you are posting a launch video, a product review or a trailer and want the comment section to look lived in from the start, the paid packs below are larger and paid by UPI QR. Comments raise the count and fill the section. They do not change your views or watch time, and they do not replace the conversation your own viewers bring.

Safety and privacy

We only need the public video link. We never ask for your Google account, password, Studio access or channel permissions. YouTube does not endorse outside comment services, so use them carefully and keep moderation on for anything you do not want on your channel.

Questions and answers

Why do I not see the free comments on my video?

Check YouTube Studio, Comments, Held for review. If your moderation setting holds comments, they wait there until you approve them. Also check that comments are turned on for that video.

Can I get free comments on a made for kids video?

No. YouTube turns comments off on videos set as made for kids, so there is nowhere for comments to land. This applies to every channel.

What language will the comments be in?

Country offers such as Germany or France can bring comments in that country's language or style. Pick the India or plain offer if you want comments that fit an Indian audience.

Do free comments work on Shorts?

Yes, as long as the Short is public and comments are on. Paste the Shorts link from the Share button, the same way you would for a long video.

Can I choose what the comments say?

No. The free offers send general comments as a small sample, and you cannot set the wording. If any comment does not suit your video, you can hide or delete it in YouTube Studio like any other comment.

Will free comments help my video rank?

We do not promise rankings or extra views. Comments change what your comment section looks like. How YouTube recommends a video depends on many signals that we do not control.
