What is the UTR for an Instagram order?
The UTR is the payment reference used to match your UPI payment to your order. The current order form asks for the 12 digit reference shown in the details of your payment. The site's payment FAQ also calls it a UPI Ref No. or transaction ID.
It is not your UPI ID, order code, UPI PIN, or account password. Enter the transaction reference, not a payment address or security credential.
Where do I find the UTR in my UPI app?
Open the completed payment in your app and view its transaction details. The exact menu labels can vary, but the steps are generally:
- Open the app you used to pay and go to transaction history.
- Select the payment for this order.
- Check the transaction details for a UTR, UPI reference number, or transaction ID.
- Copy the 12 digit reference requested by the order form.
The official instructions for finding a transaction ID show how to open a payment in transaction history. If your app displays more than one reference or the value does not match the requested format, do not guess. Check that app's own help or contact the site's support team.
What should I enter in the order form?
Use the reference from the successful payment details. Check the field label and enter the exact 12 digit value it requests.
| Information | What it identifies | Use in the UTR field? |
|---|---|---|
| UTR or transaction reference | A particular payment | Yes, if it matches the requested format |
| UPI ID | A payment address | No |
| Order code | Your order in the store | No, use it on the tracking page |
| UPI PIN or password | A security credential | Never |
Do not substitute a screenshot, payment address, or order code for the UTR. Keep your UPI PIN and account password private, including when contacting support.
What if the payment is pending or the UTR is not accepted?
Check the payment status before trying again. If the app says the payment is processing, follow its instructions and do not repeat the same payment while it is still processing. The payment status help page explains how to check a transaction in the app.
Do not repeat a payment while the app shows it as processing. Check its status first.
When the payment shows as successful, confirm that you copied the reference from that exact transaction. The store says an order starts after payment is confirmed. If you already have an order code, use Track an order to check its status.
If the transaction is successful but the order is not visible, use the contact page with your order code and UTR so the team can match the payment. Do not send your UPI PIN or account password.
Frequently asked questions
Is a UTR the same as a UPI ID?
No. A UPI ID is a payment address. A UTR or transaction reference identifies a particular payment.
Is the UTR always 12 digits?
The site's order form requests a 12 digit UTR. Use the reference shown in your payment details and check the format requested by the form.
Can I enter the UTR while a payment is pending?
Wait until the payment status is successful or confirmed. Do not repeat a payment that the app still shows as processing.
What if my payment succeeded but I cannot see the order?
Check the order using its code on the tracking page. If it is still missing, contact the team with the order code and transaction reference.
Should I share my UPI PIN to confirm payment?
Never. The order needs the payment reference, not your UPI PIN or account password.
Can I use the UTR from a different payment?
No. Use the reference for the payment made for this order. A reference from another transaction will not identify this payment.
The short version: find the reference in the completed UPI transaction details and enter the exact value requested.
