About us.
Who built this, why we built it, and what it stands for.
What it is
Indiagram Conversations is an AI chat product where you can talk to historical figures, ancient sages, and (eventually) scriptural deities through their writings. Free to use. Ad-supported. Grounded in public-domain texts. Cited on every response.
Where we are
Built and operated from Pune, India. A small team. AI-leveraged. We work alone, we move quickly, and we care about craft.
Why we built it
Because most "chat with a historical figure" AI products are sloppy, ungrounded, and feel like parlor tricks. Because Indian voices, scriptures, and sages deserve a respectful, well-built home on the internet. Because there's no good reason that someone in Indore or Imphal should pay to ask Chanakya a question.
Also: because we love these texts. The Arthashastra is breathtaking. The Meditations is the best book ever written by an emperor. The Tao Te Ching is so short and so vast. We want more people to encounter these voices, in a format that fits how people actually read and think today.
What we stand for
- Transparency. Every response is cited. Every source is linked. The asterisks on some names are real disclaimers, not jokes. Read about how it works.
- Respect. For the texts, the traditions, and the people who hold them sacred. See our asterisk policy.
- Independence. No accounts, no logins, no email harvesting, no data selling. We're funded by AdSense — that's it.
- Quality over speed. We'd rather launch with 5 carefully curated voices than 50 sloppy ones.

A note on the future
We plan to add more voices, in more languages, with deeper source libraries. If you want to help — as a translator, a scholar, a designer, or just someone who cares — write to us. We'd love to hear from you.
