Where Facebook counts Reel plays
Facebook Reels show a play count on the Reel and in Professional dashboard. Here you can test a free Reel views boost on one public Facebook Reel, without giving anyone access to your profile or Page.
A Facebook Reel is a short vertical video posted from a profile in professional mode or from a Page. Its play count shows on the Reel itself and in the Reels tab of the profile or Page. In Professional dashboard or Meta Business Suite you see plays along with reach, minutes viewed and average watch time.
A Reel shared from Instagram to Facebook counts plays separately on each app. So if you cross post, pick the Facebook copy of the Reel link for this page, not the Instagram one.
Facebook also treats a quick scroll past differently from a proper watch in its own reports. Plays tell you how often the Reel started, while minutes viewed and average watch time show whether people stayed. Keep an eye on both when you judge a Reel, boosted or not.
Free Reel views on this page and how to claim
You can choose between four free options. Two of them carry the Refill tag, which matters if you want the count to hold.
Open the Reel on Facebook, tap Share, then Copy link. On a computer you can also copy the address from the browser bar when the Reel is open. Paste it into the box and press claim. No Facebook login or Page role is needed.
- 50 free Reel views tagged Refill
- 100 free Reel views tagged Refill
- 100 free Reel views on a standard option
- 500 free Reel views, the largest trial
- One claim per minute, each offer once per person, daily limits per person and per link
What happens after you claim
The order goes out straight away and normally starts within minutes. Facebook can take time to refresh the play count, and Professional dashboard numbers may update later than the Reel itself.
The Reel must be public. If the audience is set to Friends or Only me, the views cannot reach it. Do not delete or edit the audience until delivery is complete. On options without refill, a small part of the count can settle afterwards.
Making Facebook Reels people keep watching
Facebook's audience skews a little older than some other apps, and many people watch with the sound off while scrolling. Plan for that.
- Add on screen captions, because a large share of viewers will not unmute
- Show the result or the hook in the first two seconds
- Keep most Reels short and loop friendly so viewers watch twice
- Post from a Page or professional mode so the Reel can be shown beyond your friends
- Share the Reel into relevant Groups you are already part of, where the rules allow it
- Reply to comments, because conversation brings people back to the Reel
When a paid Reel views pack makes sense
If the trial landed well, the paid packs lower on this page offer bigger amounts, paid by UPI QR, and several include refill with the period shown on the service.
Paid views fit a shop launch, an event promo or a Reel you are about to send to clients. They raise the play count only. They do not replace a good Reel, and they do not bring sales, follows or comments by themselves.
Safety and privacy on Facebook
The only thing we use is the public Reel link. We never ask for your Facebook password, a login code, or a role on your Page or Business Manager. If any site asks for those, close it. Check Meta's terms and decide for yourself what you are comfortable with.
Questions and answers
Can I use the free views on a Reel I shared from Instagram?
Yes, but paste the Facebook link of the Reel. Facebook and Instagram count plays separately, so views sent to the Facebook copy show only on Facebook. If you want Instagram plays, use the free Instagram Reel views page instead.
My Reel is set to Friends. Will the views arrive?
No. The Reel must be public for views to reach it. Change the audience to Public, check that it opens in a private browser window without logging in, and then claim the free views.
Does this work on a normal Facebook video, not a Reel?
This page is built for Reels. A regular video post may not count the views the same way. For best results, post the clip as a Reel and use that link, or look for a matching video offer on the free boosts page.
Why does Professional dashboard show a different number?
Facebook reports plays, reach and minutes viewed in different places, and the dashboard often updates later than the Reel itself. Compare the play count on the Reel first, then check the dashboard again after a few hours.
What does Refill mean on the 50 and 100 views options?
If the play count drops within the refill period shown on that service, it is topped up. The options without the Refill tag do not top up, so they can settle a little after delivery.
Do I need a Facebook Page to claim?
No. A public Reel from a profile in professional mode works too. What matters is that the Reel itself is public and the link opens for someone who is not your friend on Facebook.
