How to Add Multiple Links to Your Instagram Bio

• Instagram lets you add up to five links to your bio from the app itself.
• Go to Edit profile, then Links, then Add external link.
• One link is shown on your profile; the rest open when someone taps it. You can choose which one shows first.
• Five is a maximum, not a goal. Two or three clear links often work better.
• Test every link on your phone after saving. A broken link in your bio is a lost customer.

Since 2023 Instagram has supported up to five links in the bio, added through the profile settings rather than typed into the bio text. Before that, people had to rely on a single link, usually pointing to a separate link page. For most small businesses and creators, the built in five are enough and you no longer need an extra tool.

Links typed into the bio text itself are not clickable, so always use the Links section.

1. Open your profile and tap Edit profile.
2. Tap Links.
3. Tap Add external link.
4. Paste the full URL and add a short title people will recognise, for example "Menu", "Book a table" or "Shop sarees".
5. Tap Done (or the tick) to save.
6. Repeat for each link, up to five.

When you have more than one link, your profile shows the first link and a note like "and 2 more". Tapping it opens the full list.

You can drag links to change their order in the Links screen. The link at the top is the one shown on your profile, so put your most important action there.

Before adding a link, ask what a visitor wants to do after seeing your profile. Each link should answer a different need.

A few rules of thumb:

• Clear titles beat clever ones. "Order on WhatsApp" is better than "Let's talk".
• One purpose per link. If two links lead to similar pages, keep the better one.
• Remove expired links. An old festival offer or a finished event page makes the account look abandoned.
• Use pages that load fast on mobile. Most visitors tap from a phone on mobile data.

Go to Edit profile, tap Links, then tap the link you want to change. You can edit the URL or title, or delete it. Removing a link from Instagram does not affect the website it pointed to.

Links do not change how often Instagram shows your posts. Their job is to turn interest into action. A profile with a strong Reel but no clear link leaves people with nowhere to go. A profile with five vague links has the same problem in a different way.

Why is my link not clickable? Links typed into the bio text are not clickable. Add them through the Links section instead.

Does Instagram block some links? Instagram can restrict links to sites it considers spam or harmful. If a normal link will not save, check that the URL is complete and works in a browser.
